I have been shooting 300grn beartooth LFN in starline brass with WWLPP over 10.0 grains of unique in my bisley.  It clocks quite conistently around 1037 fps, which is the speed I want.  296 and h110 loads with this weight tears my hand off with this light gun.    

Primers are not nearly as flat as the aforementioned bullet over 23.0 grains of 110/296.  Is this too much unique?  Several people have seemed concerned that this is a high pressure load.

I don't know what the pressure is with that load but it's bound to be fairly high.  For similar speed and less pressure, you can try 18 to 18.5 grs. H4227.  Or, just drop down to 9.0 grs. Unique...it should still have you very close to 1000 fps (+ or -).

Hodgdon #26 shows 10.5gr Unique at 29,200CUP with a 300 grain bullet, bullet type, primer, and brass all not specified.  Velocity was shown to be 982fps, barrel length 7".

I'd say you are definitely in that ballpark.  The extra speed may be a case of lead bullets vs. jacketed.
