I have a rifle "Model 52 Winchester .22LR" but it is has a lever action, not bolt action, which is what I find in reference to Model 52 anywhere online. Really odd duck as far as I can tell. Perhaps special order? It is an heirloom but no one left to ask.
It has a fancy checkerboard design on the hand guard and butt stock, ivory ball on lever and inlay in hand guard.
"Made in USA Winchester Repeating Arms CC Newhaven CT patented.11.18.25.December.9.19.9.February.17.Marc h.30.April.27.1920"
I am attempting to disassemble to clean and would appreciate any info available.
