I replaced a magazine tube on a very old Winchester 94, its blue and the rest of the rifle shows its age. So my question is how can i age the blue to match the rest of the gun? I was thinking of use a light amount of bluing remover on a rag and give it a once over. Any hint or tip or info is appreciated.

Best way I have seen is to use a rag buffing wheel and run it over the area to make it match. Vinegar will also remove a small amount of blue without being too toxic. Just a couple thoughts anyway. 8)

Id get some Oxpho paste blue and make it all nice and blue.

Tooth paste on burlap cloth, and rub down mag tube to desired color, rinse and oil. It shouldn't take too many strokes to achieve the desired shade.

0000 steel wool & then Oxpho-Blue to "fix" it at the same shade as the rest of the gun. Worked for my 1886 mag tube....
