I have about 30 lbs of this anyone ever try it in a handgun burning rate is simular to 335 also does anyone out there have the old tasco pro point that takes the cylinder shaped batterys I need to know the battery no. Thanks
The only real cartridges it would be good in are the rifle ones suitable for 335 or therabouts. Most likely in a TC Contender. I'm about to start work with a wildcat 6.5 based on the 5.6X50 R case. But I could see it in the 223, 35 Rem, 30/30 and such. Far too slow for any of the "handgun" type rounds.
Be aware that some lots can vary with the Surplus NON-Canister powders. I'd go with starting loads listed for H335 and go from there.
For the correct Batts on the Tasco pro-point, take a look over at the optics forum on Shooters.com I believe a gent from SWFA hangs out there and can give you help in that area.
