About a dozen years ago I bought a fair supply of H 450 to use in my .264 win mag. About two years ago I started getting low, and decided to get some more and find none. I guess it has been discontinued, but cant imagine why? Until recently,(after I ran out) it was the only powder I used in my 264 and I havent found anything that will get the same performance. So does anybody know what happened to H 450?

hodgdon discontinued it about 12 years ago it was great in my 7mm mag

I feel the same way about WW 680, which was THE powder for my 445SM and a wildcat I have based on that case. Some powders are great for a small range of uses but maybe not enough to sell and be profitable?

It wan't a very popular powder in a fad of the month market. If something doesn't sell the producers have no reason to keep making it.
