A No. 1, I'm not sure which chambering though... 6.5 Swede is great, .25/06 is a real long range performer. I have both.

Mines a 6mm, 788 Remington.

I can show pictures of the stock, scope and a few other bits and pieces but the barreled action is at the smiths, gettting its second new barrel in 40 years. Bought it new about 1969 and even though I have bunches of nice rifles, that old, cheap, piece of crap is still my favorite rifle to shoot and about the only one I deer hunt with. It's not worth half the price of the barrel but I'll keep putting them on it.

i've got a brno mauser that wears a 280 remington barrel that i've used the most since i moved west... last spring i picked up a used model 7 in 7/08 that i really like for size and portability, i shot 3 deer with it this year and can see that it will have a long hunting career but don't know that it's necissarily my favorite. i'm currently putting together a lightweight 6.5x55 on a mauser action i aquired a few years ago, it's been surface ground and spiffied up nicely but it was a 243 which i've never cared for...
too many to choose from!

I use a good number of rifles every season. If I had to choose just a couple though, these four M70s would be right at the front of the line. First pair is a 1952 M70 in '06 topped with an old Lyman All American 3X scope & a 1960 M70 Featherweight in .270 topped with a 4X Burris FF.

2nd pair is a M70 Featherweight in '06 (push feed) topped with a 4X Weaver & a Featherweight Classic in 7/08 topped with a 3-9x40 Leupold.
