Craig Boddington's 1997 follow up to "From Mt. Kenya to the Cape". 347 pages, published by Safari Press, Inc. In the 1980's and 90's Col. Boddington feared that Africa might either close its borders forever to sport hunting, or because of poaching and lack of environmental laws, the game might disappear. So, he set out on a mission to hunt as many species in as many different places as he could. After his first introduction to Africa, it has always had a pull on him, so even though not a collector or trophy hunter, he felt the need to experience the hunt in Africa as much as he could before it disappeared. This book carries us through his hunts from RSA through the Congo to Botswana, Mozambique, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Namibia and other open countries. Lions, Leopard, Buffalo, plainsgame, hippo, pigs are all hunted. Not quite as thrilling as Capstick, but he does put us in the driver's seat on many occassions. Ever truthful, he tells you about the mix-ups, blunders, bad shots and other normal happenings as well as grand successes.
