Where can I get a Marlin 336 in .35 Remington? Will you sell me one? Only a few sources - always "out of stock". I want a reliable gun for deer, Pennsylvania black bear and Southeast hogs. Sell me that .35 that you're not using!!!!! many thanks.

Walmart. Have them order it. Not only will the price beat just about any price out there, you don;t need to add any FFL charges to that price. If your WalMarts don;t sell or order guns, then........... a Cabelas or Sportsman's Warehouse or other large, retail sporting goods store will have the best out-the-door price.

For those who are convinced of my laziness - I have searched no less than 16 sources for said gun (biggies such as Gander, Cabela, Bass Pro Shops, 8 Wal-Marts, etc.) and many smaller sources such as Bud's, Whittaker, Schenk's, etc.

Did I mention I don't want to pay ABSURD $$$ for this gun? If not, you should know better.

COSteve - just because you happen to know of a source that I (or others) may or may not know of doesn't mean you need to be flippantly rude about your vastly superior knowledge.

Find a Liberal to insult - I get enough of it on a daily basis, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Anyway, I appreciate your direction to a source that I was previously unfamiliar with.

I go to all the local gun auctions and keep track of the prices and record them. In the past year I saw a dozen Marlin 336's find new homes, but only one of them was chambered in .35 Remington. The good news is it didn't appear to bring a premium over the 30-30s. Good luck with that search.

In the last three gun shows I've been to, like CVC said, there are plenty of Marlin levers but the .35 is rare. Maybe people are hanging on to them? Plus..... they surely never made but a fraction of the number of 30-30 rifles made.

However, the reason I mentioned WalMart is because I bought mine there last December. Now, I understand you tried WalMart, but did you ask them to order it? If your WalMart sells guns, they probably order too. If they order rifles, you can get it in 10 to 14 days. It will cost you approximately $450 plus tax.

Gotta love how those that are insulted are those that are reprimanded. But then again this is Obamaland. People here can obviously read, no need to quote me.

At least I didn't need to have my post edited. Ha!

In the spirit of what I thought this forum was all about, thanks for the head up on the plant closing - that's some info. I was without until your timely post. I intend to act quickly.
