Thanks for your input.

I'm planning a pig hunt this week & next week at Ft.Stewart, GA - I'm thinking I'll need to try a few of my "Old-Schoolers" down there.....

NEVER discount a single-shot, btw. A hunter with a single-shot and several targets can place extra rounds in the fingers of his/her support hand to make for a quick 2nd-or-3rd kill in a "group-grope" situation....

Of course a repeater helps speed things up a bit....:)
Never underestimate how fast a hog (or hogs) can move. Nobody's that fast with a single shot. ;) If you do chose to use a single shot, make sure you're in an elevated stand.:D I've been on the ground in the middle of about 20-30 Hogs with only a 94 30-30. It got interesting to say the least. Especially since I was hunting with a broken leg and couldn't run if I'd wanted to. Four shots in less than a minute on one hog (it was just after sundown) to put him down. Only one connected. The rest ran wild in every direction. Good luck though.:D
