You should try a couplke of different rounds. My CZ527 loves to shoot 26 and 32 grain rounds, but it wont shoot 40 grain rounds. It shoots Hornandy 32 grain V-max's ok, but shoots 26 grain Barnes Varmint Grenades excellent. The 32's shoot about 3/4 inches and the 26's shoot 3/8's and the 40's open up about 1 1/4 inches or more (its been awhile since Ive shot them). So the best bet is to try some different rounds and see which one the rifle likes best. If you handload try different powders and slugs. All the best finding out which shoot better.
