Here a photo of the rear sight of a Winchester 94 cal. 38-55 made in 1907 with a octagon barrel, is this an original sight for this gun?

I don't believe that it is the original sight, but, I could be wrong. The standard rear sight for the early 20th C 1894s was the number 22. It came in several letter designations and from flat top to semi-buckhorn. The 22 had a set screw in the rear to adjust the height of the insert. The front sight should also have a locking screw on the base.
