I don't believe that it is the original sight, but, I could be wrong. The standard rear sight for the early 20th C 1894s was the number 22. It came in several letter designations and from flat top to semi-buckhorn. The 22 had a set screw in the rear to adjust the height of the insert. The front sight should also have a locking screw on the base.
