My Dad has a Winchester Model 100 in .308. Recently it has started jamming. Sometimes it does eject the fired shell normal and then other times it doesn't eject the shell and advances the next live round and jams against the fire round still in the chamber.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. This gun has been used quite a bit. My Dad would hate not be able to get it fixed.

Two obvious causes - a dirty bolt with a sticking extractor, and a worn or broken extractor mechanism.....

Has it ever been sent back to Winchester for the firing pin fix? Years ago there was such a recall - if not, you may try sending it back to Winchester (!) and see what they will do. Call 'em first.
