Hi:

I have a Winchester model 70 XTR Feathertweight. I purchased the gun used, and the rear site has been removed from the dovetail slot in the barrel. The serial number is G1 535XXX. My understanding is this gun was manufactured by Winchester between January, 81 and July 81 before USRAC took over. Bright bluing, schnabel fore-end and traditional Winchester checkering.

I'm looking for a rear site. Not even sure what they look like, buckhorn type?? Any idea where I can get one?

I use to have the same Winchester M-70, you have, only it was chambered for the 7 mm cartridge. The rear sight is the fold-down leaf type, sold by Williams Gunsight Company.
