No affiliation with anything posted here, but just a note for anyone looking for reloading ...

Starline Brass is doing NEW runs of .348 brass, but they're a bit expensive.
GS Customs has some non-lead 180gr .348 monos, but again, they're pricey. They have load-data showing the 180s up around 2900fps due to the drive bands. Also, they have a different set of rules for reloading them due to the drive bands, so make sure you read everything there and, as always, start low and go forward safely! :)

They may be pricey options, but it's always nice to see new components come available (even if expensive) and it's -really- nice to have a non-lead .348 option!

And a 180 grain bullet at 2900fps with the .348's wide/flat meplat for short/medium ranges... yes please! :)

Cheers,
-mox

An update is Starline is out of stock, for an undetermined amount Im told, and GS customs has shut down temporarily while rebuilding the business, Best bullets made btw, wish they would hurry up..Hornady and Barnes still making 348 bullets...Brass is all but impossible to come by at the present time, but Hornady claims they are producing it at $90 per 20..most loaded ammo if you can find it is $120 per box of 20..

This should make all the reamer makers happy!! :)

Hornady was making the FTX plastic tipped bullet for a few years. seems they dropped it. wish I'd have bought more; made the 348 run right with the 35 whelen.

Still have 3 boxes of win unprimed new brass, $90 wow.

I know most owners reload for the .348, but there's a place selling quality loaded ammunition for the .348 (4 different loads) from $65 to $76/box now for anyone interested.
1. 200gr FTX @ 2500
2. 200gr FN(Hornady) @ 2500
3. 220gr FN (Barnes) @ 2500 (3000+FPE)
4. 250gr SP @ 2300
