We started out really slow this winter. Our first snow came around the 16th of December. It has more than made up for it since, though. Typically, we get termination dust on the mountains around the 2nd or 3rd week in September, the first snow at sea level around mid-October. Permanent snow hits the ground by the end of October or first week in November. We got about 80" of snow last week. I've seen as much as 12 feet in one storm. We are supposed to have high winds, snow and rain mix this week. Can't wait, oh boy, roads will be interesting.
