Hi guys this year is starting out with alot of snow, so far we got about 4 feet between 4 storms, no where to put the snow;) well if it comes in with a fury maybe it will leave like a lamb, ya right, since there is so much snow you can't walk in the woods or you would be up to your waist or higher, in tern I have been using my new snowshoes going where no man has gone before me LOL, The only tracks are animal tracks, I am scouting for some coyotes, night bait hunting started Jan 1 2003, I saved my deer parts from 2002 ,boy that meat is stout now, the coyotes will smell it a mile away;) here is a a nice wither picture where I snowshoe. Wow can't compete with that alyeska338, now your talking snow, we also get lake affect snow here, for the most part NH has had some really mild winters for the past 5 years, 2 years ago I had my ride out in the end of January;) that was cool, I don't think this year will be like that, Its the drifts that get deep, at one time I had my snoeshoe's on and stuck my walking stick down to see how deep it was because I was still sinking deep with the shoes, my pole could not touch ground, my pole was 6 feet long, you don't want to fall over with snowshoes there, I almost did a face plant when I caught a branch under the snow;) I like all the seasons, I don't think I would like it hot all the time, I like that crrisp air in the winter and hunting in the 20's to 30's for whitetail deer, The cold seems to get the rut going good, as soon as the warm comes in it ruins the rut, it was so hot last year I was sweating during bow season, I was wearing short sleaves and light summer camo paints, It did turn around near the begining of December started getting back to normal. Aim small hit small. RAMbo.
