In Windsor Castle, England, I saw a rifle with a heart shaped bore, and the outside of the barrel was heart shaped to match. It was rifled by twisting the entire barrel, so the heart shape twisted around along the length of the barrel. It takes bullets of heart shaped cross section. Due to the way it was displayed, I couldn't tell whether it was flint or percussion.
