Anyone familiar with the Serbian produced Z5 bolt action rifles? They look surprisingly nice and very attractively priced. May be interested in getting one in WMR but would really like to hear from someone that have them...

No, but after I read your post I googled them. These appear to be the same rifles Remington and Charles Daily charged 2 to 3 times more than the going price now. These are well built rifles according to people I talk to in person, as well as on the web. I intend to buy one in .22 Mag, as the price is more than right. Thanks for the tip.

Also, isn't it great to see how much a company most of us have been supporting our whole life jacks us on price? And I'm not sure who Charles Daily is.(I've read about him but am still dubious)

Thanks for the note Ric. From what I've been able to ascertain by extensive web searching, the Z5 is also said to feature a pretty decent trigger adjustable for both weight of pull and over-travel as well! Be advised however, that's subject to confirmation, but if true, sounds pretty dang cool to me!

I bought a Zastava .22 sold by Charles Daly a few years ago. Then I bought a Remington Model 5. Same gun, just a higher hang tag price by Remington. Hope this helps. All the best...

Charles Daly sold them as the 'Superior II' with a plain walnut stock, 5-round clip. I got two of them 6 or 7 years ago for friends that bring horses to elk camp, fo about $150 each, and with a decent 4x scope on them. I got one for myself with really nice walnut on it for $170. Remington then contracted with Zastava and put a laminated stock on them and sold them for around $300, or at least tried to. That relationship ended not too long ago and Cabela's was clearing them out for around $200.

They're a solid, accurate rifle. I'm sure happy with mine.

So, does anyone know where some clips can be found for these rifles? I know some 10-rds were offered at one time, which would be nice to have, although a few more 5-rd clips would be fine too.
