just bear in mind that the united state dollar has gone from around 1/35th of an ounce of gold around 1968 when redemption into bullion was "temporarily®" suspended, to around 1/1300th of an ounce of gold now

any compo needs to reflect that loss in purchasing power of <s>zimbabwe</s> uncle sam's toilet paper money substitute over time

at least in a tort, there is an actual victim seeking redress for loss or injury - it's not like a prosecution for not wearing a seatbelt or for jaywalking or possession of weed or for (100 feet of shelf space for all of the other BS "victimless offences" - if victimless offence actually makes any sense- to me it's the same sort of contradiction as Dry-wet and a hotcold).

Here's more publicity on the proposed settlement that was filed yesterday.

In Remington trigger defect class action, claims rate is flashpoint

I was listening to the radio early this AM, and heard a thing from Remington Trigger Class Action Settlement.
It purdy much said what is on that page (about 30 seconds worth). It was at about 5:30 +/- local time on WHO Radio - NEWSRADIO 1040 WHO - Des Moines. Is the first I've heard of this other than here on shooters forum. WHO is a full 50KW 24/7/365 clear channel station though. It puts a signal into places where there is no internet or cell phone coverage.
