Exclamation Smith & Wesson 460 Recall

Registered Users do not see the above ad.

If you have a Performance Center .460 S&W Magnum, in the serial number ranges below, you should probably send it in to Smith & Wesson to get them to check and, if necessary, replace the barrel. They've had a few incidents of the barrels coming off when the gun was fired.

EBD0001 to EBD0524
EBF0002 to EBF0251
LHZ0000 to LHZ0511
LLL0000 to LLL0702
LRR0001 to LRR0552
MMM0001 to MMM1809
XMC0001 to XMC0109

You should probably check with the FFL you bought the gun from first, as Smith may have already sent them a paid UPS label for it. They sent us two, and we've only ever had two here at the shop.

If you've bought one recently, look for a punch mark above and to the left of the SN. If that's there, then Smith has already made sure that your gun is safe.

Hey everyone, I just purchased a Perf. Center 460 Mag. with 3& 3/8 Bl. I called S & W and they ran my ser. # and it was OK. I asked about the dimple, as mine was below the ser. # and next to the 460 stamped on the frame. they said that where ever the dimple is depends on who was stamping it on what day or what shift they were on at the time it was stamped . TAKE CARE ALL !!! Greg Bayes
