Sorry I have been gone so long! However, just to clear up a few things on this thread, I am not a novice when it comes to firearms. We (gunclub) memembers did a test on half a dozen calibers and pistols that were new, along with several brands of ammo during this test.

The Kel-Tec did poorly, LCP Ruger was jamming and it seemed to bother members index finger when shooting fast, (it hammered the finger). We fired Rugers, Colts, Kimbers, Glocks, H&K, Smith & Wesson and Dan Wesson also. There were even a couple of Derringers but I forgot their brand names. As most already know, the .380-auto is a very poor self-defense weapon! I would not go any lower than the 9mm Luger using +P ammo for self-defense or a CCW weapon.

I have added a bit more to this post, since some people think I should read the "gun-rags" to get my information. I do NOT read them, this is why we set up our very own independant test on Self-Defense Ammo and several new various type and brands of pistols. The only sure fire way to know anything, is to run your own tests and this is what I have been doing for over 20 years now. This is on any type of hunting or self-defense weapon, other than full auto. This is done at the gunclub where things are wittnessed and documented by members!

It sounds like it was an early design bug thatwas able to be worked out... I have a few Ruger guns; one of them is an SR40C. It is my carry gun and is a perfect fit. I've put a couple of thousand rounds through it and it runs flawlessly! The only thing i could think they can do is a copule of refinments ex. the trigger...But I guess that would also run the price up....
