Dear Sierra Consumer:

It has come to our attention that some of the printed loads for the 300 Remington Ultra Mag in our 5th Edition Handgun and Reloading Manual and Infinity Suite Computer Software exceed the SAAMI maximum pressure suggestions. Use of these loads may result in damage to firearms and or bodily injury.

If you purchased your 5th Edition reloading manual or INFINITY Suite computer software program directly from Sierra, or you registered either purchase with Sierra, you will automatically be sent the replacement reloading data for the 300 Remington Ultra Mag.

For purchasers of the 5th Edition Handgun and Reloading Manual, please contact Sierra directly at 888-223-3006 or by email at [email protected]. We will send you a replacement section of data immediately. Please remove and discard the pages currently in your manual. This replacement data is also posted at www.sierrabullets.com.

For purchasers of the Infinity Suite Computer Software, a program patch is available on our website, www.sierrabullets.com . Please click the Download Patch link to receive the program patch.

I went to find info and it was like looking for a needle in a haystack. I guess I could have got it if I was using sierra software and updated it, but I am not.

Over the years, I've gotten lots of "Errata" sheet for my hard copy reloading manuals. So this is nothing new, typo????

It has been my experience, that Barnes made more mistakes in their reloading manuals than all the rest put together.

I clicked on the address given for the update sheets. takes you to their general site. Couldn't find the information promised??? doesn't look like they want you to update their information. Why didn't they just give an address directly to any information they might have?

Dude, that post was from 2003. If you have an old manual, call them up and tell them your concerns. Sierra is a pretty good company. They will take care of you.

Oh they will you say! Well I found out the hard DUDE Yeah, like the wife and I purchased some $1,313 dollars of bullets from Sierra while at their factory.

We never got to check the bullets, as they will NOT let you go behind the counter understand. YOU do not get to see them weigh those bullets, You only get to see the boxes of bullets after they weigh them and package them from behind the counter section that customers can NOT see what is going on.

Oh yes, now time to pay the "piper", so down went the plastic card. We were told at that time if they are not correct, give us a call within 5 days. Well we were shorted some $313 & change. I called them the very next day mind you and their response was that you got the correct amount and we don't make such mistakes. I also got over 45% of Blizking bullets that were indeed defective. Not the so calle 5% to 7% that I was told might be defective.

So the bottom line is the moon will change to blue cheese before my wife and I pay that $313 dollars and change, for something that we did NOT RECEIVE. NO MORE SIERRA BULLETS FOR US PERIOD.
