Thanks for posting.

T/C sure has a lot of recalls on their bolt guns...

They've dropped the Icon line, didn't take long for S&W to make big changes. Also the custom shop doesn't exist anymore unless they recently reopened it.

I just today ordered a T/C Venture Predator in 223. My eldest son works for S&W and has one in 22-250 that I shot last summer and that little gun is deadly. Super accurate with a variety of ammo right out of the box. Here in SC the yotes have become a major problem with the deer heard being reduced by 30% in the last 10 years. I am thinking I can help make a minor dent in the population. I also have a 22-250 in an Interarms MK 10 that is deadly on them also but with a Bell & Carlson stock that is weighted and a 26 inch barrel it is a bit heavy and awkward for me to wield in my old age.
Will keep ya'll posted as to how this little addition shoots in a coupla weeks.

Well, the first session was interesting. I have a bunch of 223 ammo I loaded for my mini 14 that I thought I would see how it printed in the Predator. It took a few rounds but it went from 1.5 inches to 3/4 inch. I know this little gun will shoot better and have some different loads to try in it this week-end. Overall, this a one sweet little gun! Don't dissuaded by the recalls. Now I am looking at one in snow camo in 22-250.

I have 3 Ventures and they all shoot exceptionally well. My 300 Win Mag is really accurate. I took it out for the first time and after boresighting it the first 3 shots were in the same hole at 100 yards. I thought I only hit on the first shot so was really happy when I walked to the target and saw all three shots in one hole. I still have the target hanging on my reloading wall. I'm very sorry that they dropped the Icon line as I am interested in purchasing one in 300 win mag or 7mm mag.
