.225 Winchester to .30 Merrill ??

Parent case for a .30 Merrill is the .225 Winchester brass. What is the best way to expand the neck? Run them through the die with lots of lube or fireform with a filler? Years past I made 7mm TCU out of.223 brass with Bullseye and cornmeal filler. Worked great but did crack a few necks. I have new .225 Winchester brass
( at $2.50 each). I don't want to wreck them with improper procedure. Thank you for any tips

No experience making that one ziptab.
I'd be inclined to take as many expanding and annealing steps as I could before firing as I could.
I'm a cheapskate!

Best way is to take 'steps'. Starting with your 22 neck, expand to 6mm, then 7mm, finally to 30 cal.
