I have a Remington Rolling Block in .43 Spanish. I load a 400 grain lead slug over 70 gr of Ffg. The bullets mic at .440. It will key hole much of the time. Any suggestions?
Would paper patching help?

I've been sitting too long!
Depending on the model, bore diameters can range from .439" to .454". So, seems a chamber/bore cast might just provide a quicker answer than 50 or so posts, just saying! It could be a "Reformado" variant(?).

Bannerman imported thousands of pounds of old Rolling blocks and parts. Some suitable for floor lamps (8th grade shop project) and some shootable with whatever fit. Sears had 43 Egyptian for about a penny a round. Maybe they keyholed, maybe not. I shot rats at the dump with mine.
