Absolute noob question but how can i determine a muzzle thread? I bought a gun that came with a big can on it but iam not Happy with it so i want to order something more low profile.

Measuring the thread size isnt too mutch trouble, but what type of thread is what puzzles me.

These supressors are ancient at this point. As far as i know they didnt leave Finland. There is no brand written on it, only T8 I1. wich google tells me is a BR design that was subcontracted to Ase Utra. They where made to order in wathever thread the buyer wanted.

supposedly amazing for their day, and extremely quiet. When you see the thing tho... i dont factor weight when buying scopes etc but this thing is made entirely of carbon steel and as long as the barrel

I was speaking to the type of thread, not the size or pitch.

I think the thread will be standard and metric, I don't think there is need for a non-standard thread and with a metric country I expect a metric thread. If the thread size you mention is common then a hardware store may sell both bolts and nuts in that size, a bolt can be laid alongside to see if the threads match and the nut might screw on. The tolerances should be much tighter on the rifle than the nut and both, the nut might not fit or be a sloppy fit. A thread pitch gauge is best to verify pitch.

Just look at this monster, its downright comical. And correct me if iam wrong but with a supersonic cartridge it doesnt really get notocably quieter just by adding a beast if a supressor

he mostly used big box S&B. Around 800 m/s usually. Pretty mutch all the ammo you can buy is around 780-820 m/s unless you buy Norma or Lapua wich is loaded to full pressure and clearly marked as not for the m96. My handloads are a little hotter but still in the 820-850 range. I am not expecting silence, Mostly want to remove muzzle flash and reduce the powder bang. The crack doesnt travel far in the woods.
