I just bought a Timberwolf .357 pump. Most of the data in my loading books is for handguns. Is the loading data the same for handguns as rifles?

The published load data for handguns should be safe for rifles. However, you will find that some powders make good use of the rifle's longer barrel while others don't. For this reason, several reloading guides offer load data for handgun cartridges to be used in a rifle. Hornady, Sierra, and Barnes are all books I own which list rifle data for 357 Magnum.
