So, I just recently picked up a barreled receiver of a Swiss k31. I'm having trouble finding sources on the interwebs to date my receiver based on serial number. It's serial number is within the 50,000 mark, but not quite 51,000. If anyone knows anything on dates for this specific example, let me know.

So, I just recently picked up a barreled receiver of a Swiss k31. I'm having trouble finding sources on the interwebs to date my receiver based on serial number. It's serial number is within the 50,000 mark, but not quite 51,000. If anyone knows anything on dates for this specific example, let me know.

K31 Production began in 1931, during which 200 rifles were made, starting with serial number 50,001, and finishing with 50,200. 1932 production began with 50,201, and ended with 520,009. So If your serial number is higher than 50,200, but still in the 50,000s, then it was most likely made early in 1932.
